Melanie Lemley has been a missionary overseas, a tutor, a mom to four children, a physical therapist (her degree) and a stateside missionary with Wycliffe Bible Translators, where her husband, Rand, currently serves. She has lived in Cameroon and Ethiopia, in addition to various parts of the U.S. Her experience living overseas and her lifelong commitment to learning about people and events throughout world history bring vibrancy and depth to her History/Humanities classroom. Mrs. Lemley also tutors at-risk children at the Arlington H.O.P.E. Tutoring Center. The 2018-19 school year will be her ninth year teaching high school at Trinity Prep. She teaches World History (Ancients – Middle Ages) to freshmen, Western Civilization/World Geography to sophomores, United States History/Geography to juniors, and Government/Economics and Apologetics to seniors. Mrs. Lemley believes her role is “not a teacher, but an awakener.” (Robert Frost).
