The Senior Experience at Trinity Prep
The senior year of high school is an important milestone for our students. We celebrate all year long with events dedicated to making this year as memorable as it can be. Senior year at Trinity Prep includes class traditions such as the cap-decorating party, movie nights, game nights and a senior trip – the 2017 seniors went kayaking on the Brazos! Our seniors attend a Christian prom in Dallas (and rent a limo if they wish!). In April, we introduce our seniors to an assembly of the entire school in a Senior Walk, where we applaud and cheer them for ‘finishing well!’ Then the remainder of Middle/High School Chapel times are devoted to highlighting each senior individually, allowing them to share their story and a devotional, and we as a community pray for them and their future.
We graduated nine seniors in 2017, our largest class thus far. Our graduation ceremony is individualized, and not the typical “your name is called and you walk across the stage” ceremony. Parents are front and center. They present a slide show highlighting their graduate, then recognize their student in remarks prior to conferring the diploma upon their child. It is a reflection of the home and school partnership in educating our students. Graduation is followed by a reception where every graduate is feted with an individual table decorated in their honor and celebrating their life. In other words, we celebrate the achievements of every one of our graduates.
If you enroll your student at Trinity Prep, we look forward to celebrating your graduate with both an excellent senior year and a memorable graduation ceremony.
