Return to School Statement 2020-2021

Trinity Prep Families,

This summer, the Directors and Teachers have held several meetings to develop strategies for the upcoming school year.  In light of the recent COVID-19 shutdowns, many of you have questioned what our plans are for on-campus classes.  Below is an update on how we will proceed:

The Trinity Prep Board of Directors has agreed that Trinity Preparatory Academy will return to classes as normal on campus starting August 17 & 18.  We will follow the 2020-2021 School Calendar dates as published.

We are asking all families to carefully review our Updated Illness Policy.  We will be vigilant about maintaining our illness policy to protect all of our children and staff.  Any child or staff member at school exhibiting signs of illness will be sent home.  Our cleaning service will continue regularly cleaning and sanitizing our buildings; this cleaning will include extra sanitization on the weekends.  We will continue to promote frequent hand washing and continue to have hand sanitizer available in every classroom and meeting space.

We will not require masks or social distancing in classrooms.  However, we will allow students to wear a facemask if their parent requests it.

We are a private school and therefore not required to follow TEA suggestions or Keller ISD guidelines.  If a government mandate is instituted that contradicts our on-campus plan above, we will adhere to that mandate as required by law.

In the event that the government mandates a shutdown, the Directors and Teachers have created contingency plans by department (elementary and upper school) that outline the following:  Google/Zoom Meeting schedules with behavior standards, pre-set office hours, consistent virtual learning platform, grading standards, and accountability/participation standards.  We would continue to provide detailed lesson plans for our families to follow.  With these plans in place, we are confident we would be able to deliver an excellent learning experience, even under the undesirable condition of a government-mandated shutdown.

Thank you for your continued partnership with Trinity Prep!  We are preparing and praying for a wonderful school year in 2020-2021 and are looking forward to seeing all of you back on campus soon!

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:6-7

Blessings,

Claire Bancroft
