Statement of Christian Beliefs

Trinity Prep provides structure and access to group-centered learning while allowing each family to maintain a home-centered education.  Our Philosophy and Structure page outlines Trinity Prep’s education role and commitments to you, the parent. A Trinity Prep education is a collaborative one.  Teachers provide worthwhile classroom activities based upon solid curriculum and proven classroom practices.
But more than our academics, we are also fully engaged in the ministry of pointing our students to Christ.  Their parents remain the primary spiritual influence, but we provide a Kingdom environment in support of each family.  Below is our Statement of Religious Beliefs which underpin and define our ministry.

I. Our Relationship to God: Salvation Through Christ Alone

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, unchanging, and infallible Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15-16, 2 Peter 1:20-21).

We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:30), His miraculous virgin birth (Isaiah.7:14, Luke 1:35), and that he lived a sinless life as an example to us (Hebrews 4:15 & 7:26).  He performed miracles (John 2:11), died to pay the price for our sins, (1 Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7), and was resurrected from the dead, having conquered death for us all (John 11:25, 1 Corinthians 15:4).  After appearing to hundreds, including His disciples, He rose up into Heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19), and will return in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11).

We believe that people are justified and saved solely by faith in Christ and His atoning death for us, offered by God’s grace.  Believing in and accepting Christ brings about a vital living personal relationship to every believer (John 3:16-19, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:8-9, Romans 10:9-13, Ephesians 2:8-10).

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who lives inside Christians, enabling them to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-14, 1 Corinthians 3:16 & 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30 & 5:18).

We believe in the ministry of all Christians to influence the world around them in accordance with Scripture and for the glory of Jesus Christ (Jeremiah 29:4-9, Matthew 5:13-16, 1 Corinthians 9:19-23).

We believe God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, and who seek His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ (Acts 3:19-21, Romans 10:9-10, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11).

II. Our Relationships to Others

We believe that God wonderfully and purposefully creates each person as male or female.  These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26-27).  God designed marriage for one man to one woman, and for that relationship to involve a level of intimacy exclusive to marriage and no other relationship. (Genesis 2:19-25).  He designed the family to be a reflection of our relationship with Him: the parents love, provide for, guide, train, and care for the children; the children obey, trust, and learn from their parents (Ephesians 6:1, Colossians 3:20; Exodus 20).

III. Behavior Expectations for Members of the Trinity Prep Community

We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity (Mark 12:28-31, Luke 6:31).  Hateful and harassing behavior directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the policies and procedures of Trinity Prep.

We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of Trinity Prep as a Christian school and ministry, every staff member, teacher, parent, student, and volunteer must agree to and abide by this Statement of Christian Beliefs in its entirety in personal conduct and verbal or written communication.  For Trinity Prep to be a light to a fallen world and a “city on a hill” (Matthew 5:14), every member of our community must act and speak as faithful representatives of the truths articulated in this Statement of Christian Beliefs.  If the Trinity Prep Board becomes aware of conduct by a member of our community that is counter to this Statement of Christian Beliefs and the Biblical lifestyle that the school teaches, Trinity Prep reserves the right, within its sole discretion, to refuse admission of an applicant, discontinue enrollment of a student, or terminate employment or volunteer status with regard to faith, doctrine, policy, practice and discipline.
